Preschool at St. Leonard
Our play-based preschool curriculum is geared towards pre-academics, social and emotional learning, and instilling a sense of community and belonging. When your child enters our preschool classroom you can expect that they will receive enriched, inquiry-based instruction in a nurturing, play-based environment. As preschool is an integral part of the school community and considered an important part of the learning continuum, preschool students also participate in specials such as: Spanish, Music, Art, and Physical Education. Preschool's daily schedule involves whole-group instruction, circle time, cross-curricular centers, snack time, gross-motor play time, fine motor skills, lunch and nap time.
The preschool classroom is a warm, positive environment where your child can learn to work and play with others while becoming familiar and comfortable with school. Our curriculum focuses on three main areas of development:
REQUIREMENTS Children must be 3 or 4 years old by September 1st of the year they are to enter school. All must be potty trained and self-sufficient (able to manage snaps, buttons and zippers on their own). For tuition and registration information, please click here. |
