On average, our full-time teachers have 10 years of classroom experience and many have advanced degrees or certifications. They stay apprised of current technology and educational trends through professional development opportunities.
Our teachers, staff, and administrators have developed a culture where our focus is on educating the whole child. Their continued development is supported by the Danielson Framework for Teaching, a tool principals use for coaching teachers to increase instructional capacity. It is based on documented observations, goal-setting and reflective dialogue between the principal and the teacher. At St. Leonard Parish School we pride ourselves on maintaining an environment that is conducive to student success. AdvanceEd Accreditation means that we use a set of rigorous research-based standards and evidence-based criteria to examine the whole institution – the policies, programs, practices, learning conditions and cultural context – to determine how well the parts work together to carry out the institution’s vision and meet the needs of every learner. We place emphasis on strong math, science, and language arts curriculum, as well as the arts, wellness, and our Catholic faith. |
