Hi! My name is Veronica Skelton-Cash and I am the principal here at St. Leonard School. I am extremely excited to start my tenure with such a strong faith based supportive community. Thank you for all your kind welcomes and support.
My journey in administration started at St. John Brebeuf as the assistant principal for three years and then to St. Bernardine School in Forest Park as the principal. Previously, I taught for seven years in the Archdiocese of Chicago. For many years before teaching I worked in the graphic arts field and I received my B.A. in Graphic Design from Eastern Illinois University. Always being drawn towards teaching and education, I decided it was time to pursue my passion for teaching and I received my Masters of Arts in Teaching from Concordia University. With my desire to always be a lifelong learner, I completed my second masters at Loyola University in Chicago in Educational Leadership to earn my administrative certificate.
I am getting involved in many different organizations throughout the school; which keeps me connected with the students, teachers, and volunteers. I am extremely impressed with the dedication, passion, and pride that everyone has toward their school.
In my free time, I enjoy the great outdoors with my family, friends, and Saint Bernard.
I am so delighted to be part of the St. Leonard family. Together as a community will be Soaring to Excellence!
